Alice Margaret TURNER

Alice Margaret TURNER was born on 4 October 1905 at 8 New North Street, Holborn, London. Alice was a worker in a tobacco factory. In the late 1920's her fiancé, Jack DRABWELL sent her the fare to go out to Singapore ,where they were married, on 10 May 1930. Their marriage took place at the St Andrew's Cathedral in Singapore. Jack and Alice had 2 children, John and Pamela.

Alice's parents were William TURNER, a boot repairer, and Elizabeth GRAINGER. They were both living in Wicklow Street, Pancras, at the time of their marriage. William at Number 67, and Elizabeth at Number 33. Elizabeth and William TURNER were married in 1897, at the Register Office in Pancras. William, aged 30 years, was a Bootmaker. His father, also William, was deceased.
