Daniel James Drabwell

Daniel was born in 1864. He was killed during the bombing of London,on 26 September 1940. A memorial to Daniel is on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission's Internet site.

Florence Jane Drabwell

Florence Jane was born on 29 October 1866.

Ellen Lydia Drabwell

Ellen was born in December 1868 and was killed during the bombing of London, she died on 9 September 1940. A memorial to Ellen is on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission's Internet site.

John William Drabwell

John William was born on 13th December 1869,at 33 Little Camden Street, Camden Town.
John William was 22 years old when he married Catherine SMITH who was 19. She was the daughter of Thomas SMITH(deceased). Witnesses to their marriage were Helen Lydia Drabwell and Robert Montris.

John William was killed during the bombing of London, and died on 19 October, 1940. See the Commonwealth War Graves Commission's web site.

Children of John William and Catherine are unknown as yet.

Arthur Ernest Drabwell

Arthur Drabwell was born in 1877.He married Rose Bessy Johnstone at St Marks Church, Islington on 2 February 1898. Arthur was aged 21,and Rose was 20. At the time of their marriage, they were both living at 11 Marcellus Road. Arthur's occupation is given as 'Green grocer', and his father ,James, as a'Road Sweeper'..Rose Bessy's father was George Johnstone.......a cab driver.

Witnesses to their marriage were John William Drabwell (Arthur's brother) and Helen Lydia Drabwell.

Arthur and Rose had 3 children:

• Arthur George born 25 July 1900
• Harry Westley born 1902


Arthur George married Maude Ellen GRANT.He died as the result of an accident in 1931. Their only child,Paul, now lives in Australia.

Charles Henry Drabwell

Charles Henry was born on 25 May 1858. Sadly he did not survive, and died in the third part of the same year.
 
 

Emma Jane Drabwell

Emma Jane was born on 30 August 1860.

Sarah Elizabeth Drabwell

Sarah was born on 23 February 1863. A record of a marriage for her has not been found. Her son Albert Joseph Drabwell was born on 22 October 1881. Sarah died in 1901.

Eliza Harriett Drabwell

Eliza was known as 'Sally'...she was christened on 31 July 1865, at The Old Church, St Pancras. She married Bill BLAKE, and had a daughter Sarah.

Charles Edward Drabwell

Charles Edward Drabwell was born on 4 October 1869.His occupation was 'General Dealer'. Charles was living at 24 North Crescent Mews,Euston Road, when he married Ada Kate Dalley on 19 November 1894. Charles' father, (also Charles)had died by the time Charles the younger, married.It was about this time that the younger Charles took on his father's second name. Thereafter being known as'Charles Henry Drabwell'.

Ada Kate was living at 35 Johnson Street, at the time of their marriage. Her father was George Dalley, also a 'General Dealer'.

Sadly, Charles(Junior) died on 22nd April,1900,aged 30years.Cause of death'Valvular Disease of Heart'. He never knew his only child....... Albert Edward, born 3 November1900.
Albert grew up and when he was 31,he met and married Edith GOWLER,26. Edith was the daughter of Alfred and Mary Isabella GOWLER.

Albert Edward Drabwell

Albert Edward and Edith had 3 children, 2 of whom died young.The first of their children was Alfred Edward Drabwell, born 26 December 1933,died 6 August 1935. The other 2 children were twins, Walter Derek,and Albert John born 1935. Walter Derek died on 7th March 1936. Edith also died young,aged 35 years, leaving their one surviving child, to be raised by his father,Albert,and his paternal grandmother,Ada.
Albert Edward died on 13 December 1966,of Chronic bronchitis and Cardiac failure.

This one remaining child is Albert(Bert)John DRABWELL,who married Margaret WEST. Bert and Margaret have 2 married daughters,(Patricia Ann, and Julia Yvonne) and 4 grandchildren,Claire, Craig, Ryan and Lauren.
 
 

Edward Drabwell

Edward Drabwell was born in 1871. He married Emma HILLIER who was born in 1874.Edward and Emma had 8 children. Edward died in 1951.

Henry Joseph Drabwell

On 30 June 1874, Henry Joseph DRABWELL was born at 1 Waites Place,Camden Town.His mother was Rhoda ROBINSON.
Henry's occupation was 'Carman'.
Henry's father,Charles Henry DRABWELL was a 'Costermonger'.
Henry Joseph DRABWELL married Martha Annie BUCKLAND on 20th October 1895.
Henry had been living at 24 North Crescent Mews prior to their marriage, and Martha had been living at 14 Brantome Place. Henry Joseph and his wife Martha also have a large gathering of descendents. For more on this family, go to

John Drabwell

John Drabwell(known as Jack), was born in 1878. According to family stories he married Liz, who used to sell flowers outside 'the pub' in Werrington St Camden Town.

They had 5 children,

• Henry William Drabwell, born 1897.
• Charles Henry Drabwell, born 1898.
• Sarah Drabwell, born 1899. Sarah married her cousin Charles Drabwell.
• John Drabwell,born 1902,married Victoria.


John and Victoria,had 2 children...(1) Stanley John,who married Barbara Anne GIDDINGS,and who have 3 children, Alan, Lee and Gary. (2) Ron,who married Jackie,they have 3 children, Stephen, Dawn and Andrew.
