Is it December yet??...NEARLY!!!!

Well you have probably read The Story........if not go do it now!!!!!!

And if you have you are most likely wondering ....

How do we manage to keep in contact???

Well we use Powwow and ICQ and CUSEEME.........we also try to make use of any Telephone companies that are having specials......one weekend we had a good special and then another weekend Eric made a mistake..which most likely negated the effect of the first special!!!!!!!!!!! oooooops!

Powwow allows us to type to each other and also to do voice chat. The voice has been great quality for about the last 6 weeks....all of a sudden something was added to the net or changed or something.....anyway the PW voice improved markedly!!!!! It is so clear now!!!!! PW also has a White Board and file transfer ...as well as sounds.....we make our own wavs to play to each other....*smiles* And lots of acronyms....the ROBOT voice will read lmao for you and say it!!! ptlapta ras its amazing!

ICQ allows us to know when each other is online.....WOW!!!!! What a bonus that has been..and it also serves as a reserve for the occassions when PW is down.....which is rare ....but it does happen. ICQ has chat too....file transfer..and lots of other features....no voice which is a shame.

CUSEEME is real cool.... real time video from here to there.....or from there to here....lol.....anyway its great.....But watch out for bad hair days when your fiance has a visitor!!! Go brush your hair while its booting!!!! lmao lmao We find that the voice in CU is not real good...we get around this by having PW running at the same time and using PW voice and text. Just resize the PW window and put it over the CU window....VOILA! Its funny sometimes the voice arrives before the sound......Almost like watching a horrible dubbed in Spaghetti Western...lol

What do our families think???

Well they are all thrilled.......Amy's Dad, Jerry, is looking forward to fishing on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. He's also looking forward to reducing his 'phone bill substantially!!!!.....and Eric's parents, Jan and John, are looking forward to visiting Louisiana for the wedding, finally getting rid of their only son!!!.....and also to having Jerry show them around.

Most are amazed by the technology that we use.....but all are very supportive! They are all very used to it now.... and the initial interest of WOW Eric can you say "G'day" for us....has changed to...."Oh yeah....Hey Eric....".....Eric's friends now ask on a daily basis "How is Amy?" And expect to have a full run down on what is happening in Louisiana.....This Internet is so everyday these days!!
